Purpose of role:
This vacancy is to work as part of a team responsible for the quality of systems, infrastructure and service provided by the corporate Systems department to a demanding, international, management consultant user-base.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, outgoing individual with a solid systems testing background. Strong documentation and communication skills will also be undeniable attributes of the ideal candidate. The ability to work in a high-pressured environment, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality is also a fundamental requirement. Formal software testing qualifications are an advantage, although due weight will be given to those with relevant practical experience.

Candidates with no prior Testing experience, but with strong knowledge and understanding of PA’s business systems are also encouraged to apply.

This role exists within the Group Systems Department of PA Consulting Group. Group Systems is the internal IT support and development function for PA Consulting Group globally. This role is based at our Cambridge (Melbourn) site.

Skill Specification:
• IT systems testing experience.
• Experience of Windows, MS Exchange, SQL and Web applications.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and formal software testing methods and techniques, such as BVA and Equivalence Partitioning.
• Formal ISEB qualifications would also be an advantage
As mentioned above, those with an in depth experience of PA’s business systems will not be expected to meet these requirements, but will need:-
• The desire to attain the above skills
• Experience across a range of PA applications, especially MIPAC.

Person Specification:
• A minimum of A-level (or BTEC) standard education.
• Willing to learn new skills.
• Ability to quickly build rapport and maintain working relationships
• Well organised with an eye for detail and strong desire to complete a task.
• Self-starter with the ability to own Testing projects from birth to death.
• Strong team player with a flexible approach.
• Customer focused and committed to offering a quality service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
