Title: Mechanical Draughtsman / Draughtsman - Rotating Equipment Location: Glasgow Duration: 3-6 months Rates: £20-£28 per hour (DOE) Our client is a leading developer of specialist machinery and engineering solutions for the power generation, petrochemical, mining and heavy engineering industries. They are a leading company within this field and with a number of key contract wins and a sustained recruitment drive ready to go live, an opportunity has arisen for a CAD Engineer to join their drawing office on what could turn out to be a long term contract assignment. Your role and responsibilities will include creation of design and detail drawings for package equipment, BOM's, and instructions for manufacture, assembly and test. With experience of AutoCAD Inventor you will be conversant with 2D and 3D drawings and will have an awareness of QA/QC procedures. Candidates will ideally come from a process, power generation, petrochemical, steel manufacture or equivalent industry and you must have some exposure to working on rotating machinery. We require a bright, well presented and professional individual to join a lively design function.
