A leading wireless telecoms company is looking for a principal level systems engineer with experience of WCDMA/UMTS. The role shall combine analytical skills, in the form of design capture using appropriate tools and methodologies, through to implementation, verification and integration as part of a structured software development process. The position requires a strong understanding of software development process and best implementation practices specifically in the domain of digital signal processing. This shall be combined with an in-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards, in particular, WCDMA for UMTS. In addition to accomplishing project-based development objectives, as a principal engineer, the successful candidate will be expected to provide technical leadership through various methods such as coaching/mentoring, participating in design and code reviews, writing white papers and technical memoranda.
