They are looking to appoint a dynamic Hardware Design Engineer to act as technical specialist for key development projects and implement software & hardware design solutions in a fast paced and demanding hands-on environment.

Working within the Hardware Design & Development Team, you will be based near Bath and play an important part in delivering the customer-requirement driven projects that will support major contracts & underpin future business. You will be self sufficient, Degree qualified in Electronics or a closely related discipline and you will have 5+ years relevant experience. Experience in wireless digital circuit design is desirable. Excellent prospects.

EXPERIENCE / JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- More than 5 years relevant industrial experience- Essential
- Experience of low power analogue & digital circuit design for portable devices - Essential
- Experience of designing with high performance DSP and RISC processors - Essential
- Experience of VHDL for FPGA - Essential
- Electronic circuit design experience – emphasis on baseband - Essential
- Experience of full product development and integration - Essential.

COMPUTER LITERACY:
- Experience in C, Assembler, VHDL - Desirable
- Familiarity with CAD - Essential
- MS Windows, Word, Excel, Databases, PowerPoint and e-mail - Essential.
