My client is a blue chip company and developer of electronics technology in Dresden, Germany looking for an Oracle DBA.

JOB PURPOSE:

• Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products
• Maintain the Database design and implementation: Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing, training and production usage
• The DBA will be responsible for evaluating releases of Oracle for features and its tools / related products, and third party products to ensure that the site is running the products that are most appropriate

SKILLS:

• BSc degree in computer science or related engineering field
• Experience with Oracle or SAP ERP but with an Oracle backend platform
• Ability to perform Oracle performance tuning and monitoring and Oracle backup and recovery scenarios
• Knowledge of Red Hat Linux Operating system Enterprise versions
• Disaster recovery concepts and use of tools such as Datagaurd and Rman from the Oracle stable.
• A proficiency in English is required with preference given for an applicant with some German.

For these skills my client is offering a competitive salary between €55k as well as an excellent package which includes bonus, healthcare and pension.
