Support Engineer / Networking / LAN/WAN / Linux / Microsoft / Southampton

Support Engineer with some networking over TCP/IP, network support, IP networking, LAN/ WAN experience is required by a growing Southampton based Network Infrastructure organisation. This is network support position with both a Linux and Microsoft element to it. Firewall and Router experience would also be a bonus.

You will be dealing with network issues on a daily basis on both Linux and Microsoft systems. However Linux experience is not essential as long as you have excellent Networking skills and have the desire to learn. Network Security, knowledge of different security products and Virtual Private Networking would be a bonus but again not essential.

This is fantastic opportunity to work for one of Southampton's brightest organisations. you shall be joining an existing team of support analysts, and you shall be providing 1st and 2nd line within a Windows based IT department. You will work on product support for external users; deal with different networking issues on both Linux and Microsoft and find solutions for end users. My client is looking to pay a starting salary of between 20 – 25K + Benefits.
