Network Technical Support required for Redhill, Surrey based client. This Network Engineer role will include duties covering helpdesk support to managing servers, network infrastructure, communications equipment, laptops and PC's. We seek a network technical support / engineer with good networking experience including Microsoft Small Business Server environment, or the components that make up Microsoft SBS, i.e. Windows Server, Exchange Server, Windows SharePoint, ISA server, SQL Server etc.
This Network Technical Support role would cover networking support – (both wired and wireless networks), all aspects of new network installations, Microsoft Small Business Server, Internet facilities (internet services, web hosting), IT security (anti virus, firewall, disaster recover and all aspects of IT security, fault finding (including hard fault diagnostics repairs, upgrades etc) software (installation, optimisation upgrade etc), one to one user and technical training and documentation.
On the hardware side you will be working on servers, PCs, laptops, printers, hubs and routers etc. I should stress you will be working in a closely knit team and as such your day to day duties will vary covering hands on duties plus telephone support and on line support on both hardware and software. My client requires someone with client server networking experience, but being a varied role, not all your duties will be solely networking.
