Head of Strategic Projects required to work, with one of one of our FTSE 100 Clients based within the Heathrow area.

Our large blue-chip Client is seeking a Head of Strategic Projects to be responsible for embedding the Retail Strategy into Retail and the wider business, delivering terminal merchandise strategies which delight the traveller, whilst maximising retail revenue, taking into account future risks.

Within this role you will be expected to:

•Contribute to achievement of department's budget of £300m+
•Co-ordinate allocation of circa 840 retail units
•Development of 11 terminal merchandise strategies across 7 sections
•Influence directorate, commercial leadership team & 3 category teams
•Articulate the retail vision & communicate to stakeholders (internal & external)
•Deliver the retail strategy ensuring consistency of approach across sections
•Maximising commercial income opportunities
•Co-ordinate product team input into terminal merchandise strategies, ensuring strategic fit and owning the 18 month roadmap process
•Ensure identification of strategic risks and opportunities using wider market intelligence, working with category teams as appropriate to mitigate or capitalise
•Provide commercial expertise on cross-functional projects.
•Category Management process – oversee the provision by Category Development Managers of category data and working with outputs of Category Management model to influence decisions about space and category mix.
•External benchmark data collation

You must posses the following knowledge, experience and qualifications:

•At least 4 years experience within a retail research agency, retail/management consultancy, property/project management role
•Ability to think strategically
•Ability to communicate at all levels
•Ability to present confidently to a wide range of audiences
•Strong analytical and financial skills
•Highly numerate and with strong commercial aptitude
•Proven ability to present a compelling argument through written, numerical and oral presentations
•Ability to work on own initiative and without close supervision

You will be based in a central location, however you will be expected to travel between several locations.
