The role is based within the application support team to provide SUPPORT on the Website. This covers:
Provide support in the various aspects of the web service, such as on-line payments.
Design code, document and support Java and .NET applications
Support internal and external service users.
Some development/enhancement.
Essential Experience/Skills
An in-depth knowledge and experience of Java based Content Management Systems. OR
Some Java and Strong Lotus Forms
Experience of Fatwire CMS system OR Strong LOTUS FORMS.
Exp of working in JSP, J2EE, HTML, XML applications.
Good understanding of Java based Web Technologies.
Understanding of Java (J2EE), SQL, XML, HTML, XHTML, JSP ASP etc.
Exp of supporting Oracle Application Server
Overall understanding of oracle apache, Linux Red Hat, and Unix environment.
Exp of using Microsoft Office Products, including Sharepoint Services
Good Communication skills verbal and written.
Lead the development of IS solutions and process improvement (including Business Process Re-engineering) in order to address business requirements.
To define, implement and support security, legality and financial standards
To develop and deliver presentations and training courses where appropriate, including the management of applications based training within a business area.
To ensure the application of best practices such as ITIL service management framework, project management standards etc.
To manage the development of solutions for new requirements
To manage client projects
To manage support, the maintenance, and implementation of IT System Solutions, where appropriate including major application systems within a business area.
To undertake the procurement of suppliers and services as appropriate
To provide leadership and guidance within a specialist area
Ability to analyse client requirements and produce a specification report
Ability to analyse problem resolution and area of impact.
