To support the Sector Chief Inspector/Department Head, providing advice on all aspects of Human Resources. Provide management information to Sector Chief Inspector/Department Head on all key Human Resources performance indicators. Facilitate recruitment and selection processes for the sector's Police officers and Police staff in accordance with the Force's existing recruitment and selection policies.Manage sickness and attendance for the sector in compliance with force policy, acting as a point of contact for staff absent through illness and those requiring welfare and occupational health support; liaising with and making referrals to both internal and external medical and welfare support functions as appropriate.
Provide advice and guidance on first stage grievances, disciplinary and performance issues. 7.Coordinate the returns and quality compliance of the annual police staff appraisals 8.Hold regular HR surgeries at each station and attend sector meetings as and when required. 9.Responsible for advising staff on Maternity and Paternity entitlements and benefits and managing their circumstances as needed. 10.To update and maintain all computerised systems (Apollo) and arranging General Orders as necessary. 11.To assist with ad hoc projects and any additional duties commensurate with the grading and responsibilities of the post under the direction of line management.
