My client is a leader in the advertising industry looking to recruit a junior designer for a key role in their innovative department.

The following skills are required for the position

You will be working within the Innovate department and be responsible for creating eye-catching and jaw-dropping visual concepts for presentation to clients and agencies.

They are looking for a passionate designer with excellent design skills who can communicate concepts in a strong visual manner using a variety of media formats from static image to motion graphics and beyond.

The position is suitable to designers who are able to work in a sales driven environment and understand the particular qualities necessary for success.

Candidates should also have the ability to bring ideas and research to the table for brainstorming sessions.

Key design skills

The majority of your work will be conceived in Photoshop and Illustrator, so creative abilities in theses package are vital. The ability to turn around photorealistic visuals in a short time frame is essential to the role.

Using After Effects, Final Cut Pro and 3D packages, you will be able to deliver stunning motion graphics movies to show off product benefits.

With PowerPoint, Keynote and Flash for presentational support, you will be able to deliver to the client a complete presentation with custom designed background slides.

Key personal skills

Great communication skills are essential, with the ability to take accurate briefs from meetings and respond in a timely turnaround.

Active partaking in brainstorming sessions.

The position requires the designer to liaise with external companies that are supplying/receiving artwork.

Keeping team members updated on progress of projects.

Using design time effectively to juggle workloads and incoming briefs.

The ability to work with minimal supervision.

Gaining a quick knowledge of Innovate production specs.

Ability to archive design work in a logical and methodical manner.

An outgoing and enthused personality with the drive for success.

Represent the Innovate department when necessary.

The role would suit applicants with a degree-level background and a strong portfolio, or alternatively, candidates who already work in design and want to extend their abilities with a new work environment and fresh challenges.
