Financial Systems Support Analyst - London

My client is a leading advertising company looking for a Financial Systems support analyst who will be providing end-user support to all Sage, Business Objects, WebExpenses and other financial systems users within the company. You must be able to demonstrate continuous effort to improve business processes and IT solutions and provide support to the financial systems manager with on-going projects.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

Day to day administration of Sage line500, Business Objects, WebExpenses and other financial systems. This will include:
Provide end-user support
Analysing and prioritising system issues and issue resolutions
Management of users, user groups and maintain the integrity and security of all financial systems
User training
Implement and introduce new modules and functionalities across a variety of systems
Development of new Business Objects reports and to further improve and enhance existing reports
Working with key users to improve current processes, solutions and introduce ‘best practice’
Assist Financial Systems Manager with on-going projects (planning, implementation and testing)
Management of process documents
To build and maintain relationships with external consultants who provide additional support when needed

Skills and Qualifications include:

A degree or a formal qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
Support experience in ERP solutions and reporting tools. Ideally with Business Objects and Sage Line 500.
Strong skills in report writing and design are essential. Experience in Business Objects report writing and universe design would be an advantage.
Ability to produce requirement specifications is essential.
Grounding in Finance as well as IT skills is desirable.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Access and proficient in other MS Office products.
Prior experience of accounting functions would be a distinct advantage.
Numerate, with a flair for analytical open thinking and strong troubleshooting skills.
