Now they need an experienced CONFIGURATION MANAGER to join their team! Integral to software change control and being responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing configuration management of third party, development software and development, test and production environments. Design, implement and maintain comprehensive CM systems to ensure development operations are met. Provide configuration management (CM) support at all phases of software development from early development to final production delivery of software product. Ensure the checked-in source code is highly available to developers and project team members. Design, implement, and maintain configuration management services including configuration automation with appropriate checks and balances. Conduct classes for programmers and other related personnel in usage of configuration management tools. Backup all software under configuration management. Work with programmers to ensure the configuration environment facilitates development. Develop metrics to assist in process improvement Administration of Change and Release Software. Maintain a history and audit of all production released software configuration items. Work with Development, Change, DBA, Release and Testing teams to facilitate requirements Ownership Asset Management process Essential Experience/Skills Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or a proven record of success. Strong software configuration management experience. Proficient in developing and implementing configuration management processes. Working knowledge of software change control best practices and methodologies. Understanding of configuration management's role in a development environment. Exp with configuration management tools as an administrator. Working knowledge of automated testing software. Interpret technical material. Exp of PVCS Version Manager and PVCS Tracker. Exposure to Unix and NT operating systems. Displays a pro-active attitude, shows initiative and is able to work independently. Able to work in a challenging environment. Please note that candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance for this role! Desired Experience/Skills Exposure to programming at the scripting level. Demonstrated work experience in a software development organization. Experience with software installation scripting.
