The role of the Web Support Analyst includes:
Maintenance and development of the site structure, navigation, content and look-and-feel of the external web presence
Support users of the Content Management System (CMS) used on the external web site in creating and maintaining content.
Provide user support for web site and tools.
Contribute to identification + definition of new web tool requirements, testing etc.
Work with the Knowledge and Collaboration Service Technical Lead to build and maintain a high-quality and robust web presence and tools for our internal and external customers
Essential
Strong web design skills with HTML/XHTML, DHTML, and CSS design and authoring experience.
Capacity to work independently
Systematic approach to problem solving.
Willing to take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution.
Capacity to “self start”.
Able to balance short-term priority support tasks with longer term project work.
Must be able to demonstrate willingness to work to shared procedures and practices.
Must be committed to self-development and be enthusiastic about acquiring new skills.
Demonstrable experience of web site design including navigational structure, graphical design/presentation, and interactive web tools.
Experience of working in a user support environment.
Desirable
Experience CMS
Familiarity with dynamic web programming techniques such as AJAX
Experience of appropriate development tools, e.g. DreamWeaver, PhotoShop.
